Aquatints & Etchings

Several of these aquatints and etchings were created while I was working in
Rome, Italy on a Fulbright Grant in 2002-2003.

The black and white images were made on-site, allowing for a careful study of the subject.
Working from life and only in black and white, I seek to create a sense of light that reveals and at times conceals
to create a more tactile image or traslation of a particular experience.
